1/32" of an inch - Keep acrylic away from Cuticle skin area!  1/32" inch is referenced in many of the Tammy Taylor articles throughout the years, including her famous "12 Step System" for the application of acrylic nails, including "Fills" & "Backfills"; specific to the cuticle area. 

• 1/32" inch is approximately the thickness of 2-3 business cards.  Keeping this small distance away from the cuticle skin, with the acrylic, can help eliminate a big percentage of ALL Lifting problems.  To more fully understand why, please read: Cuticle Area Lifting - WHY?
